Our Mission

One church, many gospel pathways.

At EBCC, the local church is the root. From that root flows Christian education, child sponsorship, medical outreach, Vacation Bible School, pastoral training, and mercy ministry. These are not disconnected projects; they are ways the church reaches children, families, pastors, and underserved communities with the hope of Christ.

We believe lasting transformation begins with the gospel and is nurtured through faithful discipleship, biblical teaching, and practical love.

Our Story

How God led us into rural Uganda.

The EBCC story is a testimony of God’s providence: one family’s obedience becoming a doorway for gospel witness, education, medical mercy, and rural church strengthening. During his medical training, he saw the deep needs of rural families—poverty, limited education, preventable sickness, and the desperate need for trained gospel workers.

In 2016, Kenny and Claire prayerfully chose to move toward the countryside, eventually coming to Vumbe in Mityana District. What began with school supplies, basic medicines, and a small children’s camp grew into gospel ministry, medical care, Christian education, and the planting and strengthening of local church ministry.

The story is one of God’s providence: a family obeying God’s call, a community opening its doors, and the gospel creating pathways for discipleship, mercy, education, and hope.

About EBCC

A gathered church rooted in the Word of God.

Two boys reading the Bible together
Christ-centered ministry begins with God’s Word being opened, read, and taught.

Christ is central. Scripture is foundational.

Esuubi Baptist Community Church exists to make disciples who make disciples. We are committed to the preaching of God’s Word, the gospel of grace, biblical discipleship, prayer, fellowship, and mission.

Our desire is to see Christ known, families strengthened, children discipled, and rural churches equipped for faithful ministry.

Pastor & Theological Vision

Dr. Kenneth Lule is equipped to equip others.

Dr. Kenny Lule brings together medical service, pastoral ministry, and strong theological training. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from African Bible University and is pursuing his Master of Divinity at African Reformed Theological Seminary.

His major aspiration is to help restore and deepen the fear of God in the African church through God-honoring theological training. EBCC’s leadership training vision follows the pattern of 2 Timothy 2:2: equipping faithful men who will be able to equip others also.

Equipping leaders for faithful ministry.

An estimated 9 out of 10 Ugandan pastors have not received formal, theologically sound training. That burden is one reason EBCC is committed to equipping leaders with Scripture, sound doctrine, and faithful pastoral care.

When shepherds are not grounded in God’s Word, churches often become vulnerable to confusion, shallow teaching, and the spread of the prosperity gospel—which is not the true gospel at all. Instead of proclaiming Christ crucified, repentance, faith, and holy living, it often promises earthly gain, health, or success.

Dr. Kenny’s burden is not simply to create programs, but to cultivate reverence for God in the African church through God-honoring theological training. Our desire is to help raise leaders who handle the Bible carefully, preach Christ faithfully, shepherd God’s people humbly, and strengthen rural churches for long-term gospel ministry.

Why This Matters

Strong churches shape strong disciples.

EBCC believes that lasting community transformation does not begin with projects alone. It begins with Christ, is rooted in Scripture, and is nurtured through faithful local churches. That is why our ministries serve children, families, patients, students, and pastors through one gospel-centered mission.

FOLCS & Sponsorship

Education that points children to Christ.

Many of the children we serve come from difficult and vulnerable homes, and most are still waiting for a sponsor. At FOLCS, sponsorship is not merely school fees; it is partnership in gospel discipleship.

  • $30/month or $360/year helps provide Christ-centered education
  • Daily meals, basic care, and practical school support
  • Chapel, Bible teaching, and one-on-one gospel conversations
  • Only 45 of 280 students are currently fully sponsored

Esuubi Medical Outreach

Medical care and gospel compassion for underserved communities.

For years, medical outreach has served rural communities where access to doctors, diagnostic tools, and medicines is limited. The church’s mercy ministry opens doors for care, dignity, prayer, and gospel witness.

After years of temporary medical camps, the long-term vision is a permanent medical center that can provide more stable and consistent care.

What Guides Us

The gospel is the hope of the world.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, sufficient, and authoritative Word of God. We believe sinners are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. We believe the local church is central to God’s mission, gathering for worship, preaching, prayer, ordinances, discipleship, fellowship, and mission.

Our ministry of mercy flows from the gospel. We serve because Christ first served us.
